Reese

Reese, perhaps best known for its very large Fire Department Carnival every year, sits outside of Westminster to the east, along Old Westminster Pike. Though it is predominantly a farming community, like much of Carroll County, Reese does have a few local businesses as well.

 

Heading east from Route 140 down Reese Road, lies the lovely Patapsco river valley and the train tracks from the Maryland Midland Railway as they wander through the valley from Westminster down to Glyndon. Up on the top of the ridge, in Reese itself, the farmlands spread along rolling curves for miles in any direction.
